Association Officers

Co-President, Web Editor

Jill went alumn from Kappa in spring of 2007 and immediately joined the Alumnae Association the following fall. Ready to serve the board in any capacity she took on the role of Newsletter Editor, which was a new position since previously that had been a duty of the President. She continued to volunteer wherever needed for the board: planning Night Owls, attending chapter Iweek, designing and printing programs for Founders Day, creating invitations for Spring Fling, attending Province Meeting at Oregon State in 2009, organizing and facilitating the registration portion of the Province Meeting in Fresno in 2011, and planning the 1st Ladies Literacy Luncheon. After serving as Vice President, she stepped in as the Executive Board President. She is now looking forward to expanding the Fresno Alumnae Association membership and implementing more philanthropy events such as the Rose McGill Holiday Sharing program.

Co-President

Elizabeth joined the Delta Omega chapter at Fresno State in 2001. Though a legacy for another sorority she felt right at home with Kappa and new it was the place for her. Elizabeth's contributions during her chapter life were extensive from serving as Recording Secretary, Panhellenic Delegate, Marshal, and of course being an enthusiastic Philanthropist participating in almost every philanthropy Delta Omega did. Following graduation and completion of the credential program at Fresno State Elizabeth became a teacher at Caruthers Elementary. Her initial participation with the Association started with her role on the Advisory Board as Vice President of Academic Excellence, and often volunteering to help with I-week ceremonies. Now while she works for her family Ag business, and runs a household for her husband and two kids, she continues to give to Kappa and serve on the Executive Board as Co-President.

Vice President

Lauren has been a member of our board since shortly after her graduation from Fresno State in 2006. Her service to our board throughout the years has been tremendous! She has worn many hats from Night Owls chair, to Secretary, to Communications, to Newsletter Editor, and now Vice President. Each month she graciously opens her home to our board with a smiling face and treats to share. While Lauren volunteers wherever she can lend a helping hand, she has contributed to our board recently with the spectacular planning of our 60 year Founders Day Celebration. She has also earnestly put together an amazing compilation of all the Delta Omega history since our beginnings in 1954. It is a true treasure our Association members will cherish for many many years to come.

Secretary

Toni earned her degree and was a member of Kappa at University of Southern California. She recently moved back home to the Fresno area, where she was raised, to be closer to family. Being a Fresno native she is familiar with many local alumns and reached out to us to join our board. Ready to jump right in Toni took on the position of Secretary. We are so pleased to have Toni's thoughtful insight and positive attitude as an addition to our board. She is always ready to step in and lend her help to Kappa with anything from writing thank you notes to being a presenter at our Spring Luncheon.

Treasurer

Katie has been a board member since 2009 when she first served as Pi Province Co-chair. She attended the Pi Province meeting in 2009 at Oregon State University, and with her business and event oriented mind planned and hosted our Fresno Pi Province in 2010. The event hosted more than 175 Kappa's from our Province and included everything from coordination of meals, transportation, and lodging. Following this office she moved into holding the position of Treasurer. Katie's skills with budgeting have helped us stay on task with many successful events, given us funds to send members to Convention, allowed us to donate to the Foundation and Chapter, maintain and increase our scholarship funds, as well as implement our online Paypal system which has helped increase our membership. Katie continues to help our Association grow with her many creative ideas and organizational skills.

Reference Chair

We are so honored to have Ashley on our board. After moving back to the Fresno area with her family she joined our board and served as Newsletter editor. Last year she put together a beautiful newsletter to engage and inform our memebers. Prior to her service with the Fresno Association, Ashley began Advising the Philanthropy chair at UC Davis chapter in 2004 immediately after graduation. She attended convention in 2005 and then began her 5 year term as the UC Davis Standards Advisor. During that term she earned a Province Award for Advisor of the year. She then moved to the central coast with her husband and began Advising the brand new Eta Rho chapter at Cal Poly. We look forward to having Ashley as a member of our board hopefully for many more years to come!

Membership Chair

Shannon is joined our board last year as she made her transition back to Fresno from Sacramento following her recent career change. Previously Shannon served the UC Davis chapter as both Philanthropy Advisor and Social Advisor. We look forward to Shannon's event skills to help us grow as an organization and engage more members to participate!

Chapter Liason

Following a career change and move from Lodi back to Fresno Dianna joined our board serving as our Philathropy chair, followed by Secretary, and now Chapter Liason. Before participating in the Fresno Association Dianna served as an advisor for the UC Davis chapter. Her advising experience has been shared with the local Delta Omega chapter where she has served Chapter Council Adivsor for the past year and has helped them tremendously! While serving her time on both boards Dianna also helped implement our Senior Programing in which our Association facilitates meetings on various topics selected by the Senior chapter members to help them transition to alumns and life after graduation. She currently is still serving as Chapter Council Advisory and planning this years Senior Programming events.

Scholarship

Holiday Sharing Chair

Lindsey has served on our board for 2 years as Member Communications and has now taken on the position of Holiday Sharing Chair. A graduate of Fresno State with an MCJ degree she has honed in her skills to help us to organize our contacts and email list and send out our annual newsletter and help maintain our Facebook page. Last year Lindsey planned and hosted our annual holiday party in which we had great fun and success raising donations for a Kappa sister in need back east. Lindsey is a great team player always willing to bake something for an event or bring a raffle prize and we are so thankful to have her on our board!

Newsletter Editor

Melanie joined our board this offering us her wonderful computer and graphics skills to put together our 2015 newsletter. Melanie previously served on the Delta Omega Advisory Board as Philanthropy Advisor. After taking a break from the AB to spend time with her three little ones and keep up her busy schedule as a school psychologist, we are so excited to welcome Melanie to the board and can't wait to see her talents with this years newsletter.

Night Owls

The Night Owls chair plans no host events to get alumnae members out and about in a social setting. Events can be anything from scheduling an after work happy hour, to inviting members to meet at the movies for a Sunday matinee. If you think you might be interested in chairing this position please let us know, we would love to have you!
